Dear Bates and Hunnewell at Bates,

It was a pleasure to see many of you at our Back to School Night last week.  If you were not able to attend, please reach out to your child’s teacher to learn more about the school year for your child.  Thank you for partnering with us for a great school year.

Please note that yesterday every student brought home a One Wellesley tee-shirt, as you may have learned from Dr. Lussier’s email on Thursday.  Please notify Megan LeBlanc in the Bates office if your child needs a new size – we have many extras.  Students and staff are encouraged to wear their shirts on Wednesday, September 28.

On Wednesday, September 28 the Bates / Hunnewell staff will participate in our annual crisis training with the Wellesley Police Department.  We are fortunate for this opportunity to prepare for a number of emergencies with our partners in the WPD.  Please note: the Bates playgrounds will be closed from 12:45 – 1:45 on Wednesday for this purpose.  Thank you for your cooperation.

Finally, as a reminder Monday, September 26 is Rosh Hashanah and there is no school.  Shana Tovah to all celebrating Rosh Hashanah.  Enjoy the long weekend!

Warmly,

Toni Jolley
