We are thrilled to welcome Rochelle Hickey, our new school librarian! She joins the Bates community from Wellesley High School, where she previously served as a library assistant. Inspired by a lifelong love of libraries and a background in graphic design, she recently earned her Master\u2019s in K\u201312 Library Media Studies to follow her passion for connecting students with books. She is eager to meet the students, staff, and families that make our school so special.<\/div>\n

Feb. 2 – District Website Focus Group Opportunity<\/strong><\/div>\n
WPS parents and caregivers are invited to participate in an online focus group to share insights on current WPS website needs, including accessibility, resource organization, and communication efficiency. The perspective of parents and caregivers is essential to building a platform that better serves our WPS community. The focus group will be held on Monday, February 2, from 7-8 p.m. on Zoom. <\/strong>Register using this link<\/a>. <\/strong>Thank you for your continued commitment to our district\u2019s Core Values<\/a> and for helping us innovate our digital tools to better support our students and families!<\/div>\n

Kindergarten Registration Is Open!\u00a0<\/strong><\/div>\n
Kindergarten registration is for children 5 years of age on or before August 31, 2026 is now open<\/strong>. Please see the Kindergarten Registration page<\/a>, linked here<\/a> for information and document requirements. Register ASAP!<\/strong> Families who complete the two-part registration process by March 1, 2026 will have the opportunity to attend a Kindergarten welcome event on the morning of March 7.\u00a0<\/div>\n
