We thoroughly enjoyed celebrating our Wellesley High School seniors during their clap out this afternoon! Seeing so many former Bates students return with their families, proudly wearing their red caps and gowns, was a wonderful full circle moment. Our current Bates students were thrilled to cheer on these young adults in such a special tradition. Congratulations to our WHS seniors!<\/div>\n

Planning for Next Year: Classroom Update<\/u><\/div>\n
As we finalize our plans for the 2026-2027 school year, the district continues to monitor enrollment numbers at each school and grade level.\u00a0 Based on current registration, Bates will have the following class sections next year:<\/div>\n

Kindergarten – 2 sections<\/div>\n
Grade 1 – 2 sections<\/div>\n
Grade 2 – 2 sections<\/div>\n
Grade 3 – 2 sections<\/div>\n
Grade 4 – 3 sections<\/div>\n

Faculty Transitions<\/u><\/div>\n
It is with mixed emotions that I share news of Bates faculty who will be pursuing new opportunities next year. Katie Catalano, second grade teacher, will be teaching first grade in a private school, and Mara Hochberg, fourth grade teacher, will be teaching fifth grade at the Hunnewell School in Wellesley.\u00a0 Bates librarian Rochelle Hickey and Bates art teacher Katie Toth will also be exploring new opportunities next year.\u00a0<\/div>\n
We are deeply grateful for the contributions of Mrs. Hochberg, Ms. Catalano, Mrs. Hickey and Mx. T to our school community.\u00a0 They will be greatly missed!\u00a0<\/div>\n

Spring Concert<\/u><\/div>\n
On Wednesday, June 10 at 8:45 am<\/strong> in the gym we will hold the final concert of the year.\u00a0 The Bates band and orchestra, as well as the fifth grade chorus, will be performing.\u00a0 All family and friends are welcome to join us for this special event!<\/div>\n

Finally, next Friday promises to be an unforgettable day for two reasons!<\/div>\n
