Last month, the District shared draft elementary redistricting maps with the community and sought feedback to help refine them. Through two community forums, a survey, and day-to-day communications, we have received significant input on how these maps can be improved.  Working with the Redistricting Advisory Committee, we have incorporated this feedback into updated map options, which we will be recommending to the School Committee next Tuesday, February 11th. There will also be an opportunity for public feedback at this meeting. (The presentation and then public hearing will begin at 6:30PM at Town Hall.)  It’s important to note that the School Committee will not be making any decisions about these maps on February 11th.  At this time, action is scheduled for the February 25th meeting, which will allow the School Committee to continue to receive community feedback throughout the month.
