Head<br \/>\nJulie Verret, Fiske Music Teacher<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Changes to the Memorandum of Agreement<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Elimination of district determined measures (DDMs).<\/li>\n<li>In school year 2017-2018, elimination of a separate Impact on Student Learning Rating.<\/li>\n<li>Common Assessment results will be a data source integrated into Standard II: Teaching all Students.<\/li>\n<li>The educator and evaluator will discuss the anticipated student learning outcomes as part of the educator\u2019s plan.<\/li>\n<li>The Professional Practice and Student Learning Goals can be revised and\/or updated during the second year of a professional status teacher\u2019s cycle.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Common Assessments (CA)<\/h3>\n<p>Who is required to utilize common assessments?<\/p>\n<p>Direct Instruction Educators Only<\/p>\n<p>Content Areas:<\/p>\n<p>Math, English, Science , Social Studies, Languages (CML), ESL Teachers, Family Consumer Science, Performing Arts, Fitness and Health, Visual Arts,<\/p>\n<p>Each educator must have two common assessment measures.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Common Assessments (CA)<\/h3>\n<p>Who is <strong>not<\/strong> required to utilize common assessments?<\/p>\n<p>Nurses, Occupational Therapist, Occupational &amp; Physical Therapist, Psychologists, Librarians, Social Workers, Guidance Counselors, Speech Language Pathologists, and Special Educators, Technology<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Student Surveys<\/h3>\n<p>DESE Requirement for direct instruction educators teaching grades 3 \u2013 12 to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Inform teacher practice<\/li>\n<li>Administered April 1st through June 15th<\/li>\n<li>Results are for teacher use only<\/li>\n<li>Use MA DESE Survey (Google Forms)<\/li>\n<li>Teachers can add additional questions to the DESE survey<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Staff Surveys<\/h3>\n<p>DESE Requirement for Evaluators to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Inform administrator practice<\/li>\n<li>Administered April 1st through June 15th<\/li>\n<li>Results are for evaluator use only<\/li>\n<li>Used MA DESE survey questions<\/li>\n<li>New administration method &#8211; Survey Monkey to ensure anonymity<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Student &amp; Staff Surveys<\/h3>\n<p>New Adjustments for SY 17-18<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Evaluator surveys administered through survey monkey<\/li>\n<li>Ensure there are \u201cnot applicable\u201d categories<\/li>\n<li>Work with Admin Council how\/if\/when to administer a TELL-like survey<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>PROFESSIONAL STATUS EDUCATOR\u2019S EVALUATION CYCLE<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>All Standards = Proficient or Exemplary\n<ul>\n<li>2 year self directed growth plan<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Standards 1&amp;2 = Proficient or Exemplary\n<ul>\n<li>Evaluator uses professional judgement to determine the plan: Directed Growth Plan or Self Directed plan.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Standards 3 or 4 needs improvement &amp; significant progress toward goals\n<ul>\n<li>Evaluator uses professional judgement to determine the plan: Directed Growth Plan or Self Directed plan.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Standards 1 or 2 = Needs Improvement\n<ul>\n<li>Directed Growth Plan<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Standards 3 and 4 proficient, exceeded goals\n<ul>\n<li>Directed Growth Plan<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Standard II: Teaching All Students<\/h3>\n<p>Indicators:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Quality of Effort and Work<\/li>\n<li>Meeting Diverse Needs<\/li>\n<li>Collaborative Learning Environment<\/li>\n<li>Respects Differences<\/li>\n<li>Clear Expectations<\/li>\n<li>Access to Knowledge<\/li>\n<li>Student Engagement<\/li>\n<li>Safe Learning Environment<\/li>\n<li>Student Motivation<\/li>\n<li>Respectful Environment<\/li>\n<li>High Expectations<\/li>\n<li>Common Assessments<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Common Assessments are a data source to inform success on Standard II.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Common Assessments (CA)<\/h3>\n<p>How will common assessments be utilized in the educator\u2019s evaluation?<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Evaluator and Educator will review the common assessments.
