Highlight from the past week:
*On Friday, we had a representative from Safe Routes to School lead an assembly on bike safety. Students learned many lessons such as the ABC’s of biking (check your Air, Brakes, and Chain before riding). Please see the notice that went home in backpacks on Friday with additional bike safety information.
School Council Update
This past week the Hardy School Council had their first meeting. As part of this, the Council reviewed the responsibilities of the Council, reviewed accomplishments from the 2021-2022 school year, and began to discuss initiatives for the 2022-2023 school year. Please look for updates on the work of the Council in future principal letters.
MCAS score reports & MCAS overview presentation
Parents of current 4th and 5th graders should be receiving MCAS score reports for their children through the mail by the beginning of next week. Also save the date, as part of the PTO meeting on Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at 7 PM in the library, I will share an MCAS overview of the Hardy School MCAS results.
Special Thanks
Thanks to parent Tanya Lisowsky for her efforts adding some fall potted plants and decoration to the main entrance. Also thanks to the PTO for securing a landscaper to help clean up the planting beds around the building. The outside areas look great and we are most grateful!
