Hello Hardy families,
Highlight from the past week:
*We had our first week of parent-teacher conferences. As part of these conferences, which will continue this coming week, parents and teachers are coming together to discuss student progress and shared goals for each student.
*On Thursday, we had a Bike to School Day. Kudos to Mr. Guzzi for planning this special day for our school community!
*On Friday, we had an all-school Spirit Day. It was great to see students in their Husky and Hawks gear!
Calendar reminder- Half Day Tuesday
On Tuesday, we have a half day for parent-teacher conferences. Students will be dismissed at noon.
MCAS dates- revised
Attention parents of 3rd-5th grade students, the district-wide MCAS dates have been revised. These dates are final:
Grade 3:
ELA session 1- Tuesday, April 11th
ELA session 2- Thursday, April 13th
Math session 1- Thursday, May 18th
Math session 2- Friday, May 19th
Grade 4:
ELA session 1- Monday, April 3rd
ELA session 2- Tuesday, April 4th
Math session 1- Monday, May 15th
Math session 2- Tuesday, May 16th
Grade 5:
ELA session 1- Thursday, March 30th
ELA session 2- Friday, March 31st

School Spirit Days
- In an effort to promote joy in the Hardy community, we will be having some additional Spirit Days that have been planned by our 5th graders. Starting tomorrow, and once a month to follow (exact dates after tomorrow TBA), we will look forward to the following themes:
- October- fun hat day
- November- bring your favorite stuffed animal to school day
- December- tie dye/pattern day- students wear tie dye or pattern clothing (stripes/polka dots)
- January- pajama day
- February- favorite color- students wear clothes that are their favorite color
- March- favorite character day- students dress like their favorite book, movie, tv character
- April- mismatch/opposite day- student wear mismatched clothing
- May- favorite teams day- students wear jerseys/hats for their favorite sports teams
Fun Hat Day tomorrow
Tomorrow we’ll have our first fifth grade planned Spirit Day. Students are invited to wear a fun hat to school!
