Presenter Sheryl Faye acted out a representation of Sally Ride, America\u2019s first female astronaut.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lunar New Year<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As a reminder, we will have no school this upcoming Wednesday in celebration of Lunar New Year.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Report Card Information<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>On Friday after 3PM, parents will be able to go into the PowerSchool portal and view their child\u2019s report card.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Recess Information During Winter<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If the \u201creal feel\u201d temperature is 20 degrees or higher, we will go outside for recess. If there is snow on the ground, students can play in the snow as long as they have snow pants and boots. They can walk on the snow if they are wearing boots. If students do not have these items, students will play on the basketball court\/paved areas.<\/p>\n<p><strong>School Spirit Day&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This upcoming Friday we will have our Spirit Day for the month of January. Students are encouraged to wear their Husky gear or red &amp; black clothing to school.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Special Thanks<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Thanks to the first grade parents for providing staff with a delicious Italian lunch this past week.
