Dear Hunnewell,Please join members of the School Council for a conversation about creativity in schools on Wednesday, March 23 at 7:15pm in the Hunnewell library. For those of you interested in taking the AP course on creativity in schools, your syllabus suggests you read Creativity in Schools written by Sir Ken Robinson. For those of you who are knee deep in AP courses, there is an audit-only Honors course, which suggests you read the short article, Why Creativity attached to this email, also written by Sir Ken Robinson.  If you up to your neck in AP and Honors courses and don’t finish with your after-school commitments until 7:15, we hope that you join us anyway. We will view a TED Talk by Sir Ken Robinson and a short video clip by children’s author, Peter Reynolds, before we launch our discussion.  Everyone will have an entry point into what I hope will be a robust conversation. This conversation will be part of a series of conversations that I look forward to having with staff, parents, PTO, and our School Council as we begin planning to draft our 2017-19 School Improvement Plan. I hope that you are able to join us.Sincerely,Ellen and Members of the School Council (Jonathan Reuter, Sarah Cropp, Beanie Spangler, Kelley Wigren, Barbara McMahon, Donna McFarlane, Marcia Sullivan, Louise Wolfe)Why Creativity?
