Good evening Hunnewell,
I have copied a letter I received from Annie Hall and Carol Morrow, SAC Social Emotional Committee Members and WEF Board Members. I encourage you to attend this event. You may remember in early December I shared information about her visit with the entire WPS staff on our Professional Development Day. She is an engaging presenter and worth hearing. If you want to better manage technology use in your home or work, this is a presentation not to be missed.
The Wellesley Education Foundation (WEF) invites you to a pre-event meeting with Catherine Steiner-Adair.
Through a grant by WEF, on Tuesday, March 21st noted psychiatrist and author Catherine Steiner-Adair will be holding a community workshop entitled “The Big Disconnect: Protecting Childhood and Family Relationships in the Digital Age” in the WHS auditorium. Prior to her presentation, Dr. Steiner-Adair has offered to meet with selected members for the Wellesley community for a discussion regarding our District’s work on social emotional learning and how it may relate to technology issues.
For this special opportunity to meet Catherine Steiner-Adair, we will meet at 5:45 p.m. in the WHS Principal’s Conference Room located inside the Main Office of Wellesley High School. A light supper will be offered as part of this small group pre-event meeting. Please let us know by Monday, March 20th if you are able to attend.
