While we are still in the process of wrapping up this year, I have a few staffing updates that I want to announce for the upcoming 2019-20 school year.
First of all, we have posted for a new fourth grade teacher as Ms. Gamache has resigned her teaching position at Hunnewell. We thank Ms. Gamache for her work at Hunnewell, and wish her the best in all future endeavors. We will be interviewing this week to fill this position and I will be sure to let you know who we hire as soon as possible.
Secondly, Ms. Bresnehan and Ms. Kustka will be co-teaching second grade next year! This means that each teacher will be there two full days/week and most likely alternating Wednesdays. There may be some Wednesdays when they are both there based on district professional development in the afternoon. I have every confidence that Ms. Bresnehan and Ms. Kustka will be a dynamic team and the students will benefit from their combined level of expertise.
Finally, I am thrilled to announce that Ms. Laura Brooks will be our new first grade teacher! After the incredible job Ms. Brooks did as a long-term substitute in 1B and 2C, I know she is the perfect fit for first grade. Please join me in welcoming Ms. Brooks to our Hunnewell family.
I hope you all enjoyed the end of year picnic on Friday evening. I apologize for not being able to attend the event, as I attended my nephew’s graduation party! The weather all weekend was perfect.
I look forward to seeing you all in the final days of the 2018-19 school year. Please remember that Wednesday is a full day and Friday ends at 12:00 noon with the clap-out of our fifth graders!
