The tree was safely removed yesterday and while I was only able to observe some of the removal, I am hopeful that some cross-sections of the tree and limbs were able to be salvaged for future milling of design elements. At this time, the stump of the tree remains, and I am sure the teachers will take the students out to see it. The tree left a sizable footprint.
We will be able to use the front entrance again for arrival, dismissal, and visitors, so the kindergartners will be the only ones to use the 1938 entrance at dismissal.
I hope you were able to get outside and enjoy the lovely weather this weekend! Albeit unusual, it was nice to put the heavy coat aside for a few days!
