Initiatives for Developing Equity and Achievement for Students (IDEAS) is committed to supporting equity and success for all students. IDEAS provides professional learning opportunities in cultural proficiency and developing culturally proficient classrooms and schools. These courses support the District Priority Area, “Cultural Proficiency & Inclusiveness.”

Many courses are eligible for inservice credit (optional graduate credit is the responsibility of the participant) and all courses are eligible for PDPs.

Registration Process

Wellesley Public Schools has an annual IDEAS membership through which the district is allotted seats in their courses. Since the number of seats is limited, Wellesley educators must receive approval from the Assistant Superintendent of Teaching & Learning prior to registering.

Click here to request registration in an IDEAS course.

Once your registration is approved by the Assistant Superintendent of Teaching & Learning, you will receive confirmation of your enrollment directly from IDEAS. Please note that courses with insufficient enrollment will be cancelled. Notification about course cancellations comes directly from IDEAS.

Please be sure to submit a Professional Leave Request Form and enter your absence into Absence Management if the course will take place during school hours. See the Professional Leave page for more information.
