Schofield School

Go Hawks

Hello Schofield Families,

Memorial Day weekend is upon us and I hope that we can all take a moment during our busy weekends to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

Today, Field Day kicked off in a patriotic way with the playing of the “Star Spangled Banner” over our PA system.  The weather couldn’t have been more perfect and the day was filled with laughter, school spirit, friendly competition and a true sense of community.  Thanks to Ms. Perry and all of the staff members who made today one to remember.  And thanks to the parents who were able to join us and help cheer students on in the various events.

Around Schofield this Week:
It was a delight to shine the spotlight on our amazing fourth graders this week for their US Regions Fair and Concert.  Students poured their hearts and souls into their performance and projects and it was wonderful to come together and celebrate their efforts.  Thanks to all of the staff members who helped make this event a great success. Bravo fourth graders!

Last Week of School
Students’ last day of school is scheduled for Thursday, June 15th with dismissal at 12:00PM.  For this reason, Wednesday, June 14th is a FULL day of school.  Please be sure to update PickUp Patrol for these two days so that we can make sure to dismiss students safely.  You may update PickUp Patrol now to reflect any changes you anticipate for the remainder of the school year.

I am looking forward to doing a little yard work and spring cleaning this weekend.  We look forward to seeing students back at Schofield on Tuesday, May 30th.
