  • Wednesday, November 13th – dismissal at 12:00 for students

 

Picture Retake Day

  • Wednesday, November 13th

  • Any student that would like retakes should return their package

  • Please make sure to take out the class photo as that is theirs to keep

  • NOTE: If a child forgets their original photos, they will not be turned away

 

Elementary Math Workshop

  • Led by Elementary Math Specialists Team

  • Two Sessions available

  • Wednesday, November 13th – 9:30 am to 11:00 am at Wellesley Community Center

  • Thursday, November 14th – 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm at Bates Elementary School

Veterans Day

  • Friday, November 15th a Veterans Day Sprague Assembly hosted by the grade 5 students

  • 9:00 am – 9:30 am approximately

  • All families are welcome to join!

 

Sprague School Council

  • The law requires K-12 public schools to have a School Council

  • The law outlines four major areas of responsibility for councils:

 a.)Adopting educational goals for the school that are consistent with local educational policies and         statewide student performance standards

b.)Identifying the educational needs of students attending the school

c.)Reviewing the annual school building budget

d.)Formulating a school improvement plan

  • The council consists of staff members and parents of students within the school

  • The council can also include a community member

  • Sprague School is in need of 2 parents to join our School Council – please email me at petrowskyl@wellesleyps.org, if interested.  We would love to have you!

 

Peer Mentoring

The Peer Mentoring program pairs selected Wellesley High School students with interested Sprague students.  Once a week, high school mentors come to Sprague to help students with homework and other needs.  This is a great opportunity for your child to receive additional help with homework after school on a regular basis! It also allows children to build a positive and supportive relationship with a local high school student.

  • For Sprague students

  • Sprague every Tuesday 3:05-4:05 pm

  • November 19th – December 17th

  • Tuesdays: November 19th, 26th December 3rd, 10th, 17th

  • Ms. Blumenthal’s classroom – Rm. #113

  • Ms. Blumenthal and Ms. Perry are supervisors

  • Please bring a nut-free snack

  • If interested, please email Ms. Blumenthal with your child’s name and current teacher (blumenthall@wellesleyps.org) 

  • Pick up will occur in car line at 4:05 pm sharp

Thanksgiving Break
