Covid-19 Update and Contact Tracing

Contact Tracing
-
Due to the volume of cases we are now dealing with in WPS, we can longer support the detailed contact tracing of every case as we have done in the past
-
Instead, each school will send out a note to all families at the end of each day identifying the classrooms where there has been at least one positive case that day
-
This will ensure more timely notification of families in classes where students may have been exposed
-
We will specifically follow-up with students who are identified as close contacts who are not vaccinated and who need to either quarantine or participate in the District’s test and stay program
Surveillance Testing – Tuesdays

Surveillance testing will continue weekly on Tuesdays
Standards-Based Report Cards (SBRC)

Through the PowerSchool Parent Portal, the first SBRC of the 2021-2022 school year will be distributed on Friday, January 28th
