Happy Holidays Upham Community,
Please enjoy the holiday season. I hope that you find time to reflect on all of your blessings. My good friends, I also want to acknowledge those who have recently lost family members or friends. You know as well as I that this life is a short journey. As you spend time with loved ones during this holiday season don’t allow special moments to pass without telling them how important they are and how much they mean to you. I will do the same.

Redistricting Public Forums Scheduled
Mrs. Hubbard and I are members of the redistricting team for the district. Please see the special message below concerning dates for community feedback.
Please join us to review and provide feedback on the draft redistricting plans under development for implementation after the construction of the new elementary schools, currently projected for fall of 2024. Forums are scheduled on the following dates:
Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at 7 pm
Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at 9 am
Both forums will be held in the Wellesley Middle School Auditorium.
MATH COACH
I have added a missive from Katrina Mills (Upham Math Coach).
For those of you who don’t know me, my name is Katrina Mills and I am the Math Specialist at Upham. Attached you will find a math newsletter that introduces all the math specialists in the district. As part of the letter, we have included our favorite math games, math books and some advice for supporting mathematical development.
As part of my newsletter each month I will include an optional problem or activity for your family to do together. This month, I am asking that you choose one of the books to read or one of the games to play with your child. Please have your child record what you read or what you played and bring it to my office. Please make sure your child’s name and classroom are on the paper. (My office is in the back corner of the library.)
