Dear Hunnewell and Upham Parents,
Today we unveiled our SOAR Canvases that Bren Bataclan created throughout the week. The program was centered on Bren’s mission to spread kindness and positivity through his art.
Bren has collaborated with our students to create a series of canvases inspired by our community theme, SOAR. He has incorporated the students’ ideas and drawings into the final masterpieces, making the art truly representative of our community. We are thrilled to announce that these beautiful canvases will be displayed at Upham and will remain there until the school closes. This program emphasizes the power of kindness, a crucial lesson we want our children to learn and embrace. Through Bren’s art and the incorporation of student ideas, our students will be inspired to practice kindness and positively impact others’ lives.
We encourage you to visit the exhibit at Upham and take the opportunity to appreciate the beautiful artwork that our students have created. It is a testament to their creativity and compassion, and we are proud of their positive impact on our community.

The Rest of the Story
At the end of last week, Mrs. Leung shared a gift she received from a parent. It was a small book with inspirational and motivating passages. Mrs. Leung shared this passage.
Every child deserves a champion- An adult who will never give up on them, who will understand that power of connection and insists that they become the best they can possibly be.
I share the message because it encompasses the commitment and care the Upham and Hunnewell teachers give daily.
