CONGRATULATIONS to the WHS Wind Ensemble and Maestro Steve Scott who performed superbly last week for the Massachusetts Music Educators Association (MMEA) State Conference at the Boston Seaport Plaza Ballroom. They performed repertoire by Richard Strauss, Percy Grainger and Paul Basler with poise, nuance and musicianship. Their audience included many of the great music educators in our State, college professors, as well as new music teachers and college music education students who were clearly inspired by what they heard. We could not be more proud of these outstanding students!
Some key soloists included: Emily Buff, Sabrina Chen, Katie Scholl, Briana Zhuang, Mara Roth, Fiona Qu, Kevin Hu, Nick Blenko, Angie Diana, Haruki Moriguchi, Andrew Lull, Jordan Shufro, Meilani Ching, and Max Sours.
The Wind Ensemble will now prepare to perform in Lexington for the Massachusetts Instrumental and Choral Conductors Association (MICCA) Festival next Saturday, March 28, and if they earn a gold medal rating that that festival they would once again earn the chance to perform at Symphony Hall in Boston on Saturday, April 11.
Good luck to them!

Have a great week ahead everyone!
