Headlines

On Monday, March 30th, and on Tuesday, March 31st, the Freshmen Class will be selling concessions at the Wellesley Town Meeting, which will take place at the Middle School. We would really appreciate donations of: baked goods, bottled water, decaf, ground coffee, plates, napkins, cups, sugar, stirrers, and cream for coffee. All donations can be coordinated with Manav Jain at manavirjain@gmail.com. All donations can be dropped off at the faculty dining room in the Middle School. Thank you so much for your support!

Monday, March 30, 2015 Day 4“Go Public!” Comes To WellesleyStudents and their families are invited to join Massachusetts Higher Education Commissioner Richard Freeland and State Representative Alice Peisch (D-Wellesley), chair of the Joint Committee on Education, for “Go Public!”  Go Public promotes signature academic programs and new opportunities at Massachusetts community colleges, state universities and UMass campuses.  Current students from UMass Amherst, UMass Lowell, Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts, Massachusetts College of Art & Design and MassBay Community College will share personal testimonials about their campus experiences, including choice of a major, internships, study abroad, and dorm life; following the program will be a public college/university admissions fair featuring STEM-related interactive and demos to build student interest in the so-called STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) fields.

Congratulations to the WHS Stringray’s Quartet for their wonderful performance at All State Friday, March 20th and for their assistance as “co-presenters” at the session on high school orchestra rehearsal techniques at the MMEA Convention.  Their performance of the Scherzo from Tchaikovsky’s Op. 11 String Quartet was beautifully played and satisfying for all who attended!Alex Kung, violin
