What is a house?

The house system is one way we try to make our growing school feel smaller. A house is designed to be a personalized system to organize and orient our 1555 students. Houses have their own office with a housemaster, house assistant and guidance counselors.Wellesley High School is divided up into three houses, Bradford (2nd floor), Perrin (3rd floor) and Phillips (4th floor), each house consist of all grades, 9-12.Your student’s housemaster is responsible for almost everything about them.  The house handles attendance, dismissals, schedules, counseling and any questions and concerns you as a parent may have. Our teaching staff is not part of the house system, it is administrative only.How do I know what house my student is in?Ask your student who their guidance counselor is, and then you can identify their house.When do I go to the house?Contact the house for all your student’s needs and concerns, this is your student’s main office. You should start with your child’s house office whenever you have a question. The house assistants will further assist you when you call the high school.
