Dear Families,
I wanted to take a moment to write and thank your for all the participation during our athletic department focus groups. Over the past two weeks we held three different meetings. Over 100 of you participated and we took notes on five hours of conversations about strengths, challenges, and hopes for the department.
Our next steps will be to go through the same process with department coaches as well as current and former student athletes. Dates for those sessions will be forthcoming and take place after the break.
Once we have finished with the data gathering from the different focus groups we will craft together a survey based on themes that arose from the focus group conversations. That survey will go out as a link to the school list serve to get a broad response.
The survey results will be used to draft a report that will be presented to school committee at a public meeting yet to be determined. My hope is to have this completed this spring.
Again, thank you to everyone for your participation. I hope you all have a restful break.
Best,
Jamie
