The Kingston Bay Group

Recently the district has partnered with the consulting group (http://thekingstonbaygroup.com/) to work with us around assessing the current climate of our schools.  We have a strong desire to make sure we are doing proactive work around making our schools safe and welcoming for all kids.  We believe partnering with the Kingston Bay Group is another effort to breathe life into our core values.  Your participation in this survey will provide data that will help us reach that goal.

In addition, students will also be asked to fill out a survey on Tuesday, November 14th during an extended advisory so that we can hear their voices as well. Their participation is voluntary, but we would appreciate as many of their responses as possible.

Finally, you should know we have asked all our staff to fill out a survey designed for them.  The Group is also conducting interviews and focus groups in an effort to develop a more complete set of qualitative data.

This assessment of our climate is essential work for our school and our community.  Thank you for your help making it happen.

NEAS&C Survey

Approximately every 10 years, public and private high schools go through a year-long process to renew their accreditation.  This process starts with a self-study, followed by a visit from educators outside of Wellesley who come “to evaluate the institution in terms of its own stated educational goals and the seven Standards for Accreditation of the Commission on Public Secondary Schools.”  This January begins the WHS self-study.

The first part of this study are surveys that are conducted by the Endicott Research Center.  These surveys are required to be administered to all students, all faculty and parent(s)/guardian(s).  The surveys will be administered in the following way:

Parent(s)/guardian(s):  Link and code is attached to this email.  The survey should take approximately 15 minutes to complete and must be completed by Wednesday, November 22nd.

If you have further questions about the survey or the reaccreditation process, more information can be found at https://cpss.neasc.org/about-accreditation.

Thanks to everyone for your support, cooperation, and contributions.  We look forward to making the most of the accreditation process.
