15 March 2019
Dear Wellesley High School Community,
I’m writing you this afternoon to announce that as of July 1st 2019, Ms. Sarah Matloff will be the new Assistant Principal for the Bradford House at Wellesley High School. Ms. Matloff has been a Vice Principal at Framingham High School for the past 15 years. Prior to that she taught in the Math department there for 8 years. She is a graduate of Hamilton College with a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics. She later earned her Master in the Art of Teaching Mathematics from Boston University. She earned her administration licensure through the Commonwealth Leadership Academy.
The committee was impressed with her professionalism, her work ethic, and most of all her commitment to students. In her own words, “My favorite part of being a vice principal is working with students to set goals and then plan the steps required to reach them. I find that if you set high expectations for students and provide support for their relative weaknesses, they will attain great things.”
We are excited to have her join our team, and I hope you will join me in welcoming her when she comes on board this summer.
I want to extend my deep appreciation to everyone who helped with this process. I have always believed in the wisdom of the this community as a whole. There were many students, teachers, staff, parents, administrators, and community members who helped make this important process successful. Thank you.
Have a great weekend.
