Dear Families,

I commented to staff that this may have felt like the longest four day week ever. Congratulations on making it to the end of it!

Covid

This was a tremendously busy week at the high school with regards to Covid.  As of this writing there were 25 confirmed cases in the high school community this week alone.  We assume because it is so challenging to find PCR tests right now, there may in fact be more than that.

We will continue to monitor these over the break.   We will continue to work with our Nursing staff, the Wellesley Department of Health, and our other partners to do our best to keep us all safe, keep kids active, and keep our school open. Thanks for all the work you’re doing out there too.  Any steps you can take are helpful.

Intervention Time on Wednesday January 5th

We will be running another intervention long block on the Wednesday half day we return from this break.  The schedule will be as follows:

7:30 – 8:30 am – A Block (Blue)

8:35 – 9:50 am – Intervention Time

9:55 – 10:55 – Tan Block Class

11:00 – 11:30 – Advisory

This intervention time will prove to be extremely valuable for students who needed to miss time this week before the break.   All the teachers will be here, so there should be an opportunity to see them and catch up.   Teachers will also be in touch with students they need to see before Wednesday if they need to see them.

Parents, feel free to send your students to see a particular teacher you think they need to catch up with.

This is a really short note, but I didn’t want to miss the opportunity to wish everyone a happy new year and a restful break.  We all need it.

All the best,

Jamie
