We are no longer sending daily emails home with this information. Instead we are posting this daily class list here on our website.
Please note that high school students are enrolled in 6-7 classes apiece on average. One positive case could represent up to 7 classes listed in the sheet. You can also consult our district Covid dashboard to see the number of cases at the high school in any given date range.
Thank you for helping keep the Wellesley High School and Wellesley public school community safe.
From the WPS Nursing Staff:
Persons diagnosed have been instructed to isolate according to current DESE/DPH guidelines. Unvaccinated individuals should begin the test and stay protocol or the traditional quarantine protocol. If your child is vaccinated and has no symptoms, they may continue with their school routine, as long as they remain asymptomatic. Due to the length of time which classes spend together day to day and the recent increase in positive cases throughout the community, we ask that you closely monitor your child for symptoms for 10 days.
As we continue to see a surge in Covid-19 cases, we ask that you closely monitor your child for symptoms daily.
If your child develops symptoms consistent with COVID-19:
- Follow these quarantine/isolation instructions.
- Have your child tested with a rapid at-home test or PCR.
- Keep your child home from school and avoid activities around other people.
- Notify your school nurse.
- Seek medical care and speak with your nurse before your child returns to school.
If you have further questions, please contact our school nurses or your primary care physician.
