Science Olympiad will be holding a meeting for\u00a0<\/span>returning members only<\/span>\u00a0today after school in Ms. Longley-Cook\u2019s room, Room 252. \u00a0We hope to see you there! \u00a0Want to join the club? \u00a0New members will begin in October. \u00a0Science rules!<\/span><\/p>\n

Back to School Night is happening on Thursday, September 25th and we are looking for 8th grade students to stand out in the hallways and direct the caregivers to their students’ classrooms. If you are free on Thursday September 25th from 6:15 PM until 8:45 PM, come to the main office at any point today and put your name in for consideration.<\/span><\/p>\n

Think you know it all? Answer the Library Question of the Week for a chance to win a prize! This week\u2019s question: \u201cWhat is the longest river in the world?\u201d Scan the barcode outside the library bulletin board to enter. The winner will be announced on Friday!<\/span><\/p>\n

Are you curious about what some people in our WMS community will be celebrating this week? \u00a0Tonight begins<\/span>\u00a0the Jewish holiday of Rosh Hashanah. Rosh Hashanah is the\u00a0<\/span>Jewish New Year. It is celebrated for either 1 or 2 days, beginning at sundown the night before. Apples and honey are shared symbolizing hopes for a sweet new year. Rosh Hashanah also begins the 10 most holy days in the Jewish year. \u00a0You can wish someone a “sweet new year” or a “good new year.”<\/span>\u00a0We wish all people at WMS observing this holiday, a \u201csweet new year\u201d or a \u201cgood new year,\u201d or in Hebrew, \u201cL\u2019Shana Tovah.\u201d \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

To all students: \u00a0Today after school there will be teachers outside with magnets to unlock your Yondr pouches in the front courtyard near the flagpole.\u00a0<\/span>Students near the courtyard doors at the end of the day can exit through those doors and unlock your pouches in the courtyard<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

There will be no 3:30 pm bus to Boston today. All students riding to Boston will be taking the 2:30 pm bus. The late bus in Wellesley will leave at 3:30 pm.<\/span><\/p>\n
