~Today is Tuesday December 23, 2025, Day 4<\/span><\/p>\n

~Block rotation: A, B, C, D, E, F, G, Advisory, Winter Concert<\/span><\/p>\n

No Loaner iPads will be available from the Tech Deck today. \u00a0If you have a loaner from yesterday, please return it to the Tech Deck this morning.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Today at 2:29 we will begin December\/January Break.\u00a0<\/span>There will be no afternoon activities and therefore no Boston or Wellesley late buses except for our WMS boys and girls basketball teams. Please check with your coaches, but we believe you do have practice. Check your Boston bus schedules for any departure times after practices. The library will also be closed after school. All other students should plan to leave the building immediately at the 2:29 dismissal bell.\u00a0<\/span>If you have a challenge with this time, please come down to the main office. Over the break, the WMS main office will be open from December 27th – December 30th and for a half day on December 31st from 8:00 am – 3:00 pm. We will resume our routine schedule on Monday, January 5th, 2026.<\/span><\/p>\n

Are you curious about what some people in our WMS community will be celebrating over break?\u00a0<\/span>December 25th is the Christian holiday of Christmas and December 26th begins the seven-day African-American celebration of Kwanzaa. Christmas is both a religious and cultural holiday. In Christianity, Christmas celebrates the traditional day of the birth of Jesus. Many people\u00a0<\/span>exchange gifts with friends and family. These days even people who are not Christian may celebrate Christmas, and it is also a public holiday in the U.S.\u00a0<\/span>Kwanzaa is an African-American celebration of life celebrated from December 26th to January 1st. Kwanzaa was introduced to the U.S. in 1966 as a way for African-Americans to celebrate communities, as well as African and African-American culture.<\/span>\u00a0Kwanzaa celebrates Seven Principles to introduce and reaffirm values and practices which strengthen and celebrate family, community and culture.\u00a0<\/span>We wish all people at WMS observing these holidays Merry Christmas and Happy Kwanzaa!<\/span><\/p>\n
