Congratulations to<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Soren Stickney for correctly answering this week’s Library Question of the Week by knowing that Pi is an\u00a0<\/span>irrational<\/span>\u00a0number. Soren, stop by the library for your prize!<\/span><\/p>\n

Are you curious about what some people in our WMS community will be celebrating this week? \u00a0This evening begins the Muslim holiday of Eid al Fitr and Friday is the Persian New Year called Nowruz.\u00a0<\/span>Eid is the end of the month-long fasting of Ramadan. Muslims celebrate Eid by going to a mosque for prayer, spending time with friends and family, exchanging gifts and feasting<\/span>.\u00a0<\/span>Nowruz, or Persian New Year, is an ancient festival celebrating the first day of spring in the Northern Hemisphere.\u00a0<\/span>The celebrations last for 13 days, and it\u2019s an opportunity to reflect on the past and set intentions for the future.<\/span>\u00a0We wish all people at WMS observing Eid, \u201cEid Mubarak\u201d and and we wish all people at WMS celebrating Nowruz, \u201cHappy New Year!\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

The meeting for 8th graders interested in the WMS Tennis Team this spring is today after school in Room 321 with Mr. Crowe.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

8th grade students in Ms. Moore\u2019s tutoring program, please report directly to the library after school today.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The Puzzle Club will be meeting after school today in Room 329-A.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The Robotics Club will be meeting after school today in Room 244.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The bus to Boston will leave at 3:30 today. \u00a0The late bus in Wellesley also leaves at 3:30. All students need to listen for the PA announcements for their departure from WMS.<\/span><\/p>\n
