Congratulations to Neela Clarke for knowing that the game of Chess originated in India! Neela, stop by the library to claim your prize. Starting next week, the remaining library<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>questions of the week for this school year will be all about WMS!<\/span><\/p>\n

Today is the last day to submit a drawing for the 8<\/span>th<\/span><\/span>\u00a0Grade Banner. \u00a0Details are on the Main Office bulletin board.<\/span><\/p>\n

Are you curious about what some people in our WMS community will be celebrating this weekend? Sunday is the Buddhist holiday of Buddha\u2019s Birthday.\u00a0<\/span>Buddha\u2019s Birthday is a celebration of the life and enlightenment of Siddhartha Gautama, the founder of Buddhism. Buddha Day is celebrated in various nations in East and Southeast Asia and has different names as well. The dates are different based on the calendar used, but the holiday is usually celebrated during late April to early May. Sunday\u2019s date is based on the calendar used in South Korea and China (among other countries).<\/span>\u00a0We wish all people at WMS who observe this holiday \u201chealth, happiness and peace.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

There will be no 3:30 pm bus to Boston today. All students riding to Boston will be taking the 2:30 pm bus. The late bus in Wellesley will leave at 3:30 pm.<\/span><\/p>\n
