Wellesley Elementary students continue their visual art experience with the basics of elements and principles of design.  During this year of learning they now begin to master the skills they were taught at the Kindergarten level, to identify and show mastery of lines, shapes, and color.  Along with proving an understanding of the relationship between parts to whole.  Lastly, students can now fully describe what an image represents using visual arts vocabulary.  Students continue their artwork with creating and building their fine motor skills of hand eye coordination and  hand strength.  They begin to truly understand the basics of strong art and design elements in their 2D and 3D artwork.
