Wellesley students have access to both darkroom (black and white) film photography and color digital photography. The Photo Classroom has multiple rooms including a large student work space, with a professional studio designated for portrait and still-life photography. There are Epson Scanners and Apple Desktop Computers equipped with Adobe Photoshop, and Lightroom for editing photos. In addition there is a state of the art wet darkroom for film development, a printing, with 12 enlargers. The classroom has Pentax film cameras, and Canon Digital cameras available for students to borrow.

Mr. Johnson has been teaching full-time at Wellesley High School for over 20 years. He teaches all of the Photography classes. along with Animation, and Digital Art. He has a professional photo studio, a wet darkroom, and state of the art color digital cameras, computers and software. Prior to teaching, Mr. Johnson worked as an Animator, Graphic Designer, and Art Director for different companies.
