WHS Jewelry/Metals Studio

Wellesley students are fortunate to have this unique opportunity of having multiple levels of jewelry and metals courses.  There is a state-of-the-art studio dedicated to the Metals Arts.  The studio includes 14 student jeweler benches outfitted with hand tools, then students share a wide variety of larger tools and equipment.  There are four acetylene torch setups, and four flame working torches, as well as an Arc Pulse Welder, a spot welder, and a little torch.  Other larger equipment includes a hydraulic press and polishing machine, etc.  Students are encouraged and welcome to create anything from everyday wearable jewelry, to fashion jewelry, sculptural objects, and small scale in the round sculptures.
