Caleb Menkhus
Biography
Caleb Menkhus is a freelance trumpet player working in the Boston area trained in many
genre including but not limited to classical solo and orchestral, jazz and commercial playing,
musical theatre, and contemporary music. He is passionate about creating and sharing
music with others. Caleb credits his eccentric music taste and musical versatility to his
upbringing in a Cuban-American household that never turned the radio off and had
everything from Parliament Funkadelic to Ice-T on vinyl. From the moment he picked up the
trumpet he was steeped in his hometown South Florida’s Latin and Afro-Caribbean music
styles and slowly fell in love with the orchestra and other styles of music as he progressed.
He currently lives and works in Medford with his partner and their two cats.
Caleb holds a Bachelor of Music from DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois and a Master of
Music from Boston University in Boston, Massachusetts.
