Biography

Carrol Lee is an active freelance violist and violinist in New England and beyond. She began playing violin at the age of six and discovered viola at the age of eighteen, receiving a Bachelor of Music in viola performance from the University of Colorado—Boulder and a Master of Music from Boston University. Carrol enjoys performing in a variety of venues and coaching and mentoring young musicians. An avid chamber musician, she received her early training at the Chamber Music Connection (OH), working closely with the Cavani Quartet. Her principal teachers include Karen Ritscher, Geraldine Walther, Erika Eckert, and Matthew Dane. In her free time Carrol enjoys reading, hiking, and all things culinary.
