Matthew Lee » Performing Arts Education

Matthew Lee, is a Boston based, New Zealand flutist, conductor and educator. Frequently performing around New England and beyond, Matthew has performed with groups such as the GRAMMY Award winning Albany Symphony Orchestra, Portland Symphony Orchestra, Boston Landmarks Orchestra, the Boston Ballet Orchestra, and for many years was the Piccolo player (and Acting Principal and Associate Principal) of the Christchurch Symphony Orchestra (NZ). Matthew has performed in venues such as the Sydney Opera House, Boston Symphony Hall and New England Conservatory’s Jordan Hall. Matthew has taught throughout the United States and New Zealand, including teaching at Boston University, Boston University Tanglewood Institute, as well schools throughout the US and NZ. Matthew is excited to be teaching in Wellesley Public Schools this coming year.
