Biography

Moises Carrasco has been an active performer in the New England area for over 10 years. Originally from Massachusetts, Mr. Carrasco began his musical education at the Interlochen Arts Academy in Michigan where he studied with Derek Weller. Upon graduating from Interlochen, he was accepted to the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston. While at NEC, Mr. Carrasco studied with legendary bassist, Donald Palma, and current Boston Symphony Orchestra member and extensive chamber musician, Thomas Van Dyck. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree and a Graduate Diploma from this institution.
Specializing in orchestral music, Mr. Carrasco has played with orchestras all over the world including: Canada, UK, Germany, Austria, Slovakia, Croatia, Italy, France, Spain and China. He has been fortunate enough to be able to perform in such prestigious venues as: Dvorak Hall in Prague, Royal Albert Hall in London, Musikverein in Vienna, Symphony Hall in Boston and many more. Mr. Carrasco aims to inspire his students to seek greatness both on and off the stage while stressing a ‘team-first’ mentality.
