The Wellesley School District utilizes a variety of educational software for students and staff. As with any educational endeavor, a strong partnership with families is essential to a successful experience. On this page we are sharing information regarding the use of educational software in the Wellesley School District. Annually in the PowerSchool Parent Portal we request parental permission for your student to access educational software which includes, but is not limited to, the following:

Google Apps for EducationGoogle Privacy Policy

  • Google Docs/Drive: ­collaborate using a word processing, spreadsheet, drawing, and presentation toolset that is very similar to Microsoft Office
  • Google Calendar: ­an individual calendar providing the ability to organize schedules, daily activities, and assignments
  • Google Sites: ­an individual and collaborative website creation tool
  • Google Classroom: a paperless Learning Management System that allows teachers to create classes, distribute assignments, send feedback. Students see everything in one place instantly.
  • Gmail: (MS & HS) ­an individual email account for school use managed, monitored, and content filtered by the Wellesley School District. Student email accounts will be of the form account@wpsraiders.org
    WPSRaiders.org Email will allow your student to communicate and collaborate with teachers, staff and other students of the Wellesley School District. Students in grades 9-12 can also communicate with prospective colleges, employers, parents and accounts outside of the Wellesley School District. It is expected that students will operate at all times within the parameters of the Wellesley Student Acceptable Use of Technology Policy with regards to Google Apps for Education.

Seesaw (Grades PK-5) – A kid-friendly Learning Management System for elementary student engagement that allows students and teachers to create and collaborate in one place, and share with families. Privacy Policy

Dreambox (Elementary) – an adaptive, online K-8 math program designed to complement classroom instruction. Privacy Policy

Kids A-Z (Elementary) – a kid-friendly learning portal where students go to access all their eLearning materials in an interactive online environment. Privacy Policy

Pearson Realize (District-wide) – a single sign-on portal for Pearson online curriculum with standards-aligned content and embedded assessments. Privacy Policy

Keyboarding without Tears (Upper elementary) – a web-based curriculum for grades K–5 that teaches typing, general computer readiness, digital citizenship, and online test prep. Privacy Policy

Canvas (HS) –  a paperless Learning Management System that allows teachers to create classes, distribute assignments, and send feedback. Students see everything in one place instantly. Privacy Policy
