Dear P.A.W.S Families,

I am very excited to have been announced as the Interim Director of Early Childhood.

In the fall, I will be starting my 17th year in Wellesley.  I began WPS in the fall of 2008 as a special educator at Bates after teaching for seven years in both Chelsea and Lexington.  I spent six years teaching at Bates in the special education department.  In the fall of 2014, I started a new role as the elementary special education Team Chairperson for two years. I took my next WPS role as the Interim Department Head for Elementary Education.  In fall of 2017, I became the Department Head for Elementary Education and have been there ever since. I have spent the majority of my time focused on the Skills and TLC program but also support and oversee Hunnewell, Fiske, and Upham.

About me- I am a mom of 2 boys, Kian (13) and Ronan (11).  I enjoy time with family, reading, tv/movies, podcasts, watching my boys do what they love, and baking (it’s never pretty but tastes good).  We have not done a ton this summer but we did escape the Timeliner Escape room.  Pic below!

I am very excited to start this new adventure and looking forward to working collaboratively with all of you.  I have been in touch with our PTO Co-Presidents and we are looking forward to a great year.

I will host a meet and greet on Tuesday, July 30th, 10-12 @ P.A.W.S.  I am looking forward to meeting everyone.

Have a great weekend,

Kristen
