Dear PAWS Community,
It is hard to believe we are heading into the final month of school!  It has been an amazing year here at PAWS!  I hope to see you all on June 9th at the PAWS Family Picnic! Please read below for more information and updates:
Fire Drill
Today the students in the AM session of school participated in a fire drill. Throughout the year we practice the appropriate ways to respond to emergencies.  In the event of a fire or local emergency we want to make sure the children know what to do.  To this end, we practice fire drills regularly.  If your child talks about the drill at home, please help your child understand that the practice drills help to keep us safe at school.
Proposed Start and End Times
On Tuesday, May 26, 2015, the proposed start and end times for the preschool were presented to the Wellesley School Committee.  The current hours of the PAWS full day program are 9:10 AM – 3:20 PM.  We are proposing that the new hours at PAWS for a full day session would be 8:45 AM – 2:45 PM with a “soft start” at the beginning of the day, to help ease the transition for families driving across town from other schools.  Attached you will find the PowerPoint that was shared with the School Committee.  Please review the presentation and feel free to reach out to the School Committee with your feedback.
PAWS Family Picnic
Please save the date for the PAWS Family Picnic, Tuesday, June 9, 2015 from 5:30-7:00 PM.  Bring your blanket and a picnic to enjoy on the PAWS front lawn with music by Ken the Music Man!  If it rains we will meet in the Fiske gym.
PAWS Summer Session
PAWS students are invited to sign up for the PAWS summer program. Sign-up for 1 week, 2 weeks or all 6 weeks with the option of participating two, three or four days a week.  Summer session begins on July 1, 2015.  Please contact Chris Emily at the PAWS front office for more information.
Last Day of PAWS Preschool for Students
Tuesday, June 16, 2015 is the last day of classes for the students at PAWS preschool.
