Dear P.A.W.S Families, “You’re never too old, too wacky, too wild, to pick up a book and read to a child.“ – Dr. Seuss Happy Read Across America Day! March 2nd is Dr. Seuss’s birthday and is the day when children all across America enjoy a book in the company of a caring adult! The students at P.A.W.S. will have special guest readers join us to celebrate the joy of reading on March 5th. We welcome you to enjoy reading with your child all week! Enjoy the sites below for reading ideas and for access to free online books. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.” ― Dr. Seuss, I Can Read With My Eyes Shut! PAWS Building and Grounds: Please be sure to stay on the front walk of the building and use the front covered entrance to the building until further notice. As the sun comes out and warms our building, we are aware of the potential for ice and snow melting and falling off of the building. With this in mind, we ask that you refrain from having your children run though the plowed pathways around the building. The plowed pathways are for emergency use and for maintenance use. We ask that you kindly guide your child to stay on the main path from the school to the parking lot when traveling to and from school. Please save snow play for home or other appropriate and safe locations. The P.A.W.S. yard is not a safe play space at this time. Thank you. “So be sure when you step, Step with care and great tact. And remember that life’s A Great Balancing Act. And will you succeed? Yes! You will, indeed! (98 and ¾ percent guaranteed) Kid, you’ll move mountains.” ― Dr. Seuss, Oh, The Places You’ll Go! Sidewalk Safety: Please help your children keep their feet on the main pathways and sidewalks. Each afternoon, the sides of the snow banks lining the walkways into the school are kicked in and trampled, causing falling snow to scatter across the walkways. The snow makes the once cleared sidewalks and stairways dangerous and slippery. Our custodial staff has worked tirelessly to keep the school walkways clear of snow and ice in an effort to maintain a safe walking space for all. Please help us maintain a safe entrance and exit to the building by reminding your children to keep feet safe and on the sidewalk, away from the snow. Please save snow play for home or other appropriate and safe locations. Thank you. “You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself in any direction you choose.” – Dr. Seuss Thank you: The P.A.W.S. faculty and staff would like to thank the P.A.W.S. PTO for the outstanding work they are conducting to organize the school auction! Friday, March 20th is right around the corner and we look forward to seeing you all at the Spring Auction! We would also like to thank the following families for their generous support to the school! Their bighearted donations help our faculty, staff and students. A very special thank you to:
