Dear P.A.W.S. Families,
Tomorrow, Friday, April 29, 2016, we understand there will be a school concert at the Fiske School. Please be prepared for limit parking and extra traffic. We will have P.A.W.S. staff on hand at the 8:45 a.m. arrival time to help greet the preschoolers in the P.A.W.S parking lot driveway. We will form a traffic flow loop and will help to bring the children into the P.A.W.S. building, as parking will be very limited.
Drop Off Guidelines:
- Please drive safely into the P.A.W.S. parking lot and following the flow of traffic.
- Stay in line. For the safety of staff and children, please do not cut around other cars, even after your child has exited your car. Please wait.
- Once you are close to the P.A.W.S. building, put your car in park, get out of your car to unbuckle your child and stand next to your passenger side door – holding your child’s hand.
- A staff member will approach your car and will greet your child and bring him/her into the preschool building.
We will help unload the children and will escort them into the P.A.W.S. building. We understand that a disruption or change in the daily drop-off routine can be challenging for some children. If your child is more comfortable with you facilitating the transition into the building, please feel free to park safely and bring your child into the building as you normally would.
As we say farewell to April and hello to May, we have some updates to share with you! We welcome new staff members to the P.A.W.S. community: Andrea Tierno, TA in PK2; Amanda Shunamon, Para in PK5, and Lisa Harrell, TA in PK1.
You may have seen P.A.W.S. Occupational Therapist, Kristin Mawhinney, wearing a boot on her foot for the past several months. She has gone to “get her foot fixed” and will be recovering for the remainder of this school year. We have hired, OT Jill Ricci, to step in for Kristin. If you, or your child, would like to send Kristin a get well card or picture, we will have an envelope located near the P.A.W.S. front desk to collect your well wishes. We will send all of the cards to Kristin from PA.W.S. on May 10th.
