December 20, 2019

Dear P.A.W.S. Families,

Winter Vacation Schedule

Just a reminder that today, Friday, December 20, 2019  is the last day of school for 2019! It is a full day of school.

School will be closed from December 21 -January 1, 2020.

School will reopen on Thursday, January 2, 2020.

Sending the extended P.A.W.S. Family wishes for a very happy holiday season filled with moments of joy to treasure with those you love!

Winter Traditions Night – Thank You!

A great big thank you to Ashley Delahunty, the P.A.W.S. PTO and all of the families who attended the Winter Traditions night at P.A.W.S. on December 6th! We had treats representing traditions from around the world, wonderful raffles donated by the Delahunty and Bolen families, arts and crafts for the children to enjoy, and a Snowy Day movie to round out a lovely evening!  Thank you all for gathering together to celebrate the season and spending time with each other.

Some events and dates to remember in the New Year:

Tea With ‘Becca – January 9, 2020

Join us for a discussion around Chapter 3 of the book club How to Talk So Little Kids Will Listen.  Please RSVP to Tea with ‘Becca,  HERE.

We have a few more copies of the book available to share, made available by a generous grant from the Wellesley Education Foundation (WEF).  Let us know if you’d like a copy! We’ll send it home for you in backpack mail with your child.

Get Organized in the New Year!

Putting It All Together Workshop – Former P.A.W.S. parent, Rose Nolan is coming to P.A.W.S. to share her wealth of experience, insight and organization strategies at a very special make-and-take workshop.  RSVP HERE to reserve your spot at the table.

This workshop is designed for all parents/guardians of children with identified special needs with IEPs (Individual Educational Programs).  Join us at P.A.W.S. to learn specific, helpful, easy to implement strategies for keeping all of your child’s special education paperwork organized and easy to find.

At the workshop, each parent/guardian will receive a binder and several resources to help support parents in being a positive advocate for their child. Parents of children with an IEP, who have taken this workshop before, have said that the information and resources shared in this workshop are easy to use and helpful.  RSVP HERE to reserve your spot at the table and to help us plan the number supplies to prepare for the workshop.

If you are not able to attend the workshop, but would like the information shared, please join us remotely or reach out to ‘Becca Zieminski and we will make a binder for you during the workshop, and we will send it home via backpack mail.

Thank you!

As always, thank you for your support. Your positive participation, partnership, and care helps to make P.A.W.S. its very best! The cards, goodies and treats you’ve delivered this week have been enjoyed by all. Thank you for your thoughtfulness and for your kindness to everyone at P.A.W.S. during the holidays!

Wishing you all the joys of the season and health and happiness in 2020! We look forward to seeing you all in the New Year!

Sincerely,

‘Becca Z.
