Dear PAWS Families,
Thank you to our families who helped enrich the learning experiences in their children’s classrooms by recently sharing their family tradition of Holi! We encourage all of our families to come in to share special traditions and aspects of their lives to help enrich and expand the preschoolers’ understanding and appreciation of the world. Everyone has a wonderfully unique and important heritage, traditions, and culture to share. You are all invited to contact your child’s classroom teacher to set up a time to share the special aspects of your family that you would like to bring to the classroom!
For our families observing Ramadan, Ramadan Mubarak! May Ramadan bring you prosperity and joy.
Gentle Reminder:
On Tuesday, March 28th we will have an Early Release Day in order to hold Parent/Teacher Conferences.
The Early Release times at PAWS are:
PK4 Puppy Class is dismissed at 11:15am on 3/28
All other preschool classes will dismiss at 11:30am on 3/28
PAWS @ Fiske Carline Reminder::
PAWS families @ Fiske: Please remember to accompany your child during the morning drop-off routine. We ask that you please walk your child to the side door of the Fiske building and wait with your child until the door is opened by the PAWS staff member each day, to be sure all preschoolers are supervised by their adult at all times until they arrive safely in the school building.
General Car Line Gentle Reminders – Slow and Kind:
Please drive slowly and thoughtfully in the parking lots. The safety of all children and staff is paramount.
Also, we have received reports that cars are not stopping for the buses and/or vans. If you see a school bus or a transportation van parked with their lights on and their stop sign showing, please remember to obey their sign. Stop and wait for the bus driver to put the stop sign down and then you may pass. Thank you for your care and attention to the safety of all.

Important Dates:

April 7 – No School – In observation of Good Friday
April 17-21- April Vacation Week – No School
April 27/28 – Spirit Day – BLUE DAY – each student is invited to wear something with blue and this month we are inviting each student to bring in a recycled item that is blue. We will add each of the blue recycled items to a large community poster at school. Recycled items could be a bottle cap, a picture from a magazine or from a food advertisement, a part of a cleaned out food container or box, or from some other items you are going to recycle or throw out. I can’t wait to see all of the beautiful shades, tones, and hues of blue we collect!
