Dear P.A.W.S. Families,
Happy Spring!
During the past few weeks I have had the pleasure of participating in Zoom meetings in which P.A.W.S. parents share special family traditions with the children in their child’s classroom. These presentations have been filled with so much joy and love and have been a delight to see. I encourage you to reach out to your child’s classroom teacher if you would like to read a favorite story or share a special family tradition with your child’s class. The more we share, the more we understand each other and help to make the world a more caring and inclusive place!

Staff Snacks
Thank you to the Mahoney Family for providing a selection of crunchy and salty snacks and water bottles for our staff. Thank you to the Hirsh Family for providing the individually packaged bagels and cream cheese, muffins, and scones. The gluten free options were kind and thoughtful and greatly appreciated by the GF staff! Your snacks were enjoyed by the PAWS Staff!
The Second Annual 21-Day Racial Equity Habit Building Challenge is Coming . . .
The Office of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion will launch the second annual 21-Day Racial Equity Habit Building Challenge from April 5- 29. The 21-Day Racial Equity Habit Building Challenge (aka the Racial Equity Challenge) is simple: You (along with thousands of other people across the US) commit to deepening your understanding of and willingness to confront racism for 21 consecutive days. At the very least, the Challenge will raise your awareness. But for many participants it goes beyond that and changes the way they see and interact with the world. Commit to this year’s challenge here, and SAVE THE DATE to return to our website on April 5 for Day 1!
Kindergarten RoundUp (Virtual)
Kindergarten registration for the 2021-22 school year has begun for children 5 years of age on or before August 31, 2021. Please note that if your child is age-eligible but will not start kindergarten in the 2021-22 school year, we ask that you submit a written request to defer your child’s attendance for one school year. Kindergarten registration packets are available online. Read more on the district Student Registration webpage. For questions regarding Kindergarten registration please contact the District Registrar at registrar@wellesleyps.org or 781-446-6210;5600.
