PAWS UP (Updates and Postings)

Dear PAWS Families,
Important Schedule Update:
There is a change in the schedule on Tuesday, November 2, 2021. This is an early release day due to Parent/Teacher Conferences. ALL PAWS classes will be dismissed 15 minutes early. Puppies will dismiss at 11:15am and all other classes will dismiss at 11:30am. We apologize for this change in plans; however, due to transportation constraints, we need to adjust our dismissal time on Tuesday. Please plan accordingly and arrange to pick up all PAWS students on time on 11/2/21. Please call the school office with any questions or concerns.
Parent/Teacher Conferences November 2 & 3 – Your child’s teacher will be sending out a sign-up for you to participate on one of the dates provided. Your conference may be via Zoom, telephone or in person! If you are in need of an interpreter for your child’s conference, please contact your child’s teacher.
Last week was STEM week in Massachusetts and the children at PAWS, along with the children across the district, participated in the Marshmallow Challenge!

Notes about Halloween and Cultural Appropriation – A note and resources for parents. I offer these resources to you to review if you wish as I know some of you have expressed an interest in growing in your understanding of anti-bias, diversity, equity and inclusion topics. For some of you, this information may not be new, informative or may not feel useful and I respectfully offer that you leave the resources here if they do not serve you or feel helpful to you at this time. As always, feel free to reach out with any questions.
Tea with ‘Becca – a Space for Conversation, Connection, and Questions
Thank you to the parents who joined the Tea with ‘Becca open space this week! It was wonderful to chat with you! The next Tea with ‘Becca is planned for Thursday, November 18, 2021 – 11:00am-12:00pm – Join me via Zoom, along with other PAWS parents, to talk about preschool topics that are important to you. A zoom link to join the meeting will be sent separately before the meeting. Please complete THIS brief survey (it’s really quick) to indicate topics you might like to have addressed during Tea with ‘Becca in the future.

Thank you to the Katz Family for sending in refreshments for the PAWS Staff! The faculty and staff really appreciate the wonderful snacks and treats and the support and kindness that comes with them!
Thank you for all of the lovely pumpkins that have been donated that line our school walkway! We love to notice the changes we see in our pumpkins! Something ate half of a pumpkin the other day and then the rain filled the half that remained full of water during the rainy week. I wonder what the pumpkin will look like when we arrive at school on Monday? Will it still be there? Will the rain water still be inside? Hmm, I can’t wait to see!
