Dear P.A.W.S. Families,
Our school year is off to a great start! As we head into a long weekend, I’d like to take a moment to say thank you to our wonderfully supportive families, our creative and dedicated PTO and to our parent volunteers who help in countless ways to support the gifted and dedicated classroom teachers and staff at P.A.W.S.!
Thank you!
To those who were able to join us at the Back to School Night events, we thank you. The teachers work hard to prepare an informative and welcoming evening, and it makes it all worthwhile when parents enjoy the evening with us! Thank you to the PTO for putting a little surprise of highlighters and glue sticks, in the teacher’s mailboxes to brighten their day!
Thank you to our Library Volunteer Coordinator, Garima Rana, for recruiting library parent volunteers for each classroom. We’d like to have two library volunteers for each classroom, and we are grateful for the parents who have signed up so far! If you would like to learn more about being a Library Volunteer for your child’s classroom, please email wellesley.pawspto@gmail.com for more information.
Thank you to P.A.W.S. Library Parent Volunteers:

School Picture Day
We will have school picture days on October 16 and 17. Picture order forms went home in backpack mail. If you need an additional form, please let your child’s teacher know or stop by the front desk at P.A.W.S. and we will gladly provide you with another form.
Halloween
Wednesday, October 31 is Halloween, but please note that we do not celebrate Halloween at the preschool and we ask that parents keep costumes at home. Some of our children are not yet able to tell the difference between real and pretend and become upset or confused by different costumes, wigs, and face paint. We wish to maintain that preschool is a happy, safe, welcoming, and friendly place to play and learn and we do not wish to have unexpected or upsetting surprises for our littlest learners. Thank you in advance for saving your Halloween costumes for events outside of school. Children are invited to wear something orange to school on October 31 if they wish.
Parent/Teacher Conferences
Please be on the lookout for communications from your child’s classroom teacher about the upcoming Parent/Teacher conferences. Teachers have special release time provided to them to meet with you on the afternoons of October 31, November 6 and 7. We encourage all parents and guardians to enjoy the one-on-one meeting time to meet with your child’s teacher to discuss your child’s preschool learning journey this year!
Wishing you a wonderful long holiday weekend!
Sincerely,
‘Becca Z.
