Dear Bates,
It was a perfect day today for our second graders to go tide pooling and for the rest of us to enjoy the sunshine at Bates. Thankfully, looking ahead at the forecast for Monday, the temperature looks to be cooler than those expected this weekend. Here are a few notes for next week:
Spring Concert on Wednesday
We are excited for the Bates Spring Concert on Wednesday at 8:45. The fifth grade chorus and Bates orchestra will perform. We have decided to hold our concert indoors in the gym, and we ask that all attendees wear masks. This practice is consistent with other recent performances across the district. Thank you for your cooperation.
Hunnewell at Bates
We are planning for the inclusion of Hunnewell students at Bates next year as part of the district’s swing space plan. Bates will host two sections of Hunnewell grade 5 and two sections of Hunnewell Kindergarten. I would like to share our plans to date and answer your questions at next week’s PTO meeting on Tuesday, May 24 at 7:00 pm on Zoom. A Zoom link will be shared on Tuesday morning.
