Dear HunneBates,
The first week of spring has been beautiful here at Bates. Our large blue Imagination Playground blocks were enjoyed at recess and students continued training for the upcoming Mini-Marathon. We look forward to welcoming families for spring conferences, which start next week.
Early Release on Tuesday!
Tuesday, March 28 is an early release day for elementary students. Students are dismissed at noon.
The Mini-Marathon on April 12
The Mini-Marathon on April 12 is a favorite Bates tradition. Each grade has 20 minutes to run/walk laps around the outside of the school, doing their best and having fun. Families are invited to stand along the marathon route and cheer on the students. The Mini-Marathon is also a fundraiser for Friends of Wellesley METCO. Donation forms and the event schedule will be shared next week.
Finally, students in grades 3, 4 and 5 will begin MCAS testing next week. The dates for the English Language Arts test are listed below.
