Dear Bates,
Happy Friday. The sunshine today was much appreciated. When the rain or cold keeps us indoors, as it did much of this week, students enjoy a number of indoor recess activities. This week students played dominos, legos, board games, games of Twister and more. Today we welcomed the return to outdoor recess and fresh air.
The Bates Book Fair was a great success. Thank you to our PTO for this wonderful experience for our community.
Spring Conferences
We hope each family has the opportunity to sign up for a spring conference with your child’s teacher. If you have not yet done so, please refer to the email I sent on March 6 with each teacher’s sign up link. Conferences start on March 27. Please note the extra early release day on Tuesday, April 2. We look forward to these conferences and the opportunity to discuss how your child is doing in school.
MCAS
Students in grades 3-5 will take the MCAS test starting in late March. The dates for each test are listed below. Students will be provided with a test makeup date if they are absent on a scheduled test date.
Remember to set your clocks for Daylight Savings Time on Sunday. Have a great weekend!
